LITERARY FESTIVAL
The 11th Althorp Literary Festival will take place on Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June 2014.
The three day festival of books will see Daisy Goodwin, Geordie Greig, Tristram Hunt, Jeremy Paxman, Francis Russell, Brian Sewelll and Charles Spencer speak about literature, history and politics in this evocative setting. A rare chance to see one of the most beautiful, and private, stately homes in England.

The story is explored through the key individuals and organisations that have contributed to Italy's reputation for quality and style.

VIBRANT FLORALS!

From scientific at Christopher Kane to tropical at Tommy Hilfiger, florals were having fun on the S/S 14 catwalks. I love the idea of clashing colourful pieces for a bright take on the trend

MY DIGITAL LIFE

From Facetime to fashion sites to Instagram fever, our lives are increasingly lived on screen.<br/> Here is my tech-attraction:

YOOX.COM
There are many good points about Yoox. First, there is lots I want to buy, and second, this is a site where one can happily while away the hours, browsing the editorial contant with profiles on style leaders such as Giovanna Battaglia, Julia Sarr-Jamois and Tabitha Simmons. Back to the shopping. Sign up to Myoox and click on Dream Box, where you are invited to make a wish list of up to 50 favourite items, track availability and speed along the shopping process.

LYST.COM

FOMO (fear of missing out)- not a new phenomenon but certainly one currently being revised and furiously fed by Instagram; a modern rendering of an old art-namely showing off. No, I don't envy holidays, or famous friends, or fabulous parties, but I do suffer serious FOMO when it comes to fashion. With so much choice, what if there is a better piece around the corner?  Lyst is a search engine that sifts, under your direction, through 250-plus designers and stores online, from Barneys in New York to Browns Boutique in London.

FARFETCH.COM
Farfetch is an edit of more than 300 independent boutiques from far-flung corners of the globe gathered on one curated site. The joy of landing somewhere and finding one's bearings, gathering tips and secrets-the Miami waitress who recommends her favorite vintage store, the grandmother in a St. Tropez post office who draws me a map to the best market in the hills-real life adventures.

20 BEAUTY UPDATES FOR SPRING!

MATCH POINTS
Take your lead from this season's Burberry show and match your nail varnish to your dress. A good summer-weddng update.

LEGWORKS
Bare legs calls for leg products that work fast: here are the essential spring stand-bys...

THIS WORKS PERFECT LEGS GRADUAL TAN

LEGOLOGY AIR-LITE DAILY LIFT FOR LEGS

IOMA SOOTHING GEL FOR LEGS

SHARP EYES
Take eyeliner to new heights with cubist-inspired shapes, as seen at Derek Lam and Anthony Vaccarello, both created by make-up artist Tom Percheux: "It gives the eyes a little lift". For an extra update, opt for sapphire blue, as seen on Anja Rubik.

CORAL LIPS

Coral is the only lip color for spring/summer, so no matter what you have on the agenda, simply sweep on a rum-punch lip and step out in full summer splendour.

STRAIGHT AND LONG

Straight hair paired with long earrings is the hicst new mix. Straighten hair until it is soft and ribbon-like, then let a fabulous pair of chandelier earrings peek through.

MAGICAL TOUCHES
Believe in miracles: specifically the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream and Olay Super 10 Minute Miracle, two of my favourite, and most reasonable, new magical launches.

TRUE BLUES

From nails to eyes, blue is everywhere this season-for nails, stick to icy pastel blues, which look great whether you are in the city o beach-bound.

OIL'S STICK

Face, body and even hair oils have been drizzling their way into our beauty routines for years. The latest versions are dry oils: not actually dry, but less viscous than regular oils meaning a fraction of the slickness. but still with all the luscious benefits.

FLOWER HEADS

The new take on hair accessories is hippy headdresses. Find a headband and wear it low on the temples, and if you can find one adorned with flowers as at Anna Sui, so much the better -flowers are everywhere in beauty right now.

DOUBLE UP

Follow in the footsteps of hairstylist Adam Reed, backstage at Emilio de la Morena, and elevate the everyday ponytail by...adding another one. Using Wella's Smooth Brilliance Shine Pomade, Adam advises keeping texture smooth "to give fluidity and extra swish".

EASY HAIRCARE

Tresemme 7Day Smooth promises to keep hair sleeker for up three washes, and Elvive Fibrology Double Serum, a reparative thickening serum, is said to penetrate so deeply it continues to boost hair even after use.

NUDE LIPS

Urban Decay's Naked eyeshadow palettes are a beauty phenomenon, and now comes Naked Lip Gloss; just in time for a Nineties "nude lip" revival. Max Factor has good new nudelip glosses, too.

BROW LIFT
There's a  new way to emphasise brows: brow pencils with colour at one end highlighter at the other. Stipple the colour between hairs, then use the other end to give a subtle sweep just beneath your brow bone-it will make your brows seem more " lifted".

SUN-DRENCHED SCENTS

WHAT I DID ON MY HOLIDAYS BY 4160 TUESDAYS

ST TROPEZ DISPENSER BY SMELL BENT

LILAC TIME
We think that s/s 14's practical pool slides should be contrasted with pretty toes, and I have found the perfect shade with which to finish our "pool-shoe pedi": lilac. My new favourite is L'Oreal Paris no 851.

DIY MANI

When time is short, we are all about the DSM ( desk-side mani), but even when application is speedy, we want it to last. Thankfully, the new wave of gel-inspiredpolishes promise maximum staying power.

SKIN PRO
Up the ante and take a more professional approach with your skincare. The newest launches come complete with a brush or special applicator that will make you feel like a bona fide facialist.

FLOWER FAIRIES
Orchid is not only the make-up colour of this season. Calvin Klein has also launched a delicious new orchid-inspired scent: Endless Euphoria.

GLITTER GAZE

Our festival look this year will be Chanel couture's under-eye sparkles. Paint a line of eyelash glue then dip your brush in some Mac Pro Glitter in 3D Silver.

BESPOKE TANNING
Customise your tan using this dropper from Clarins. Small in size, but mightly in beauty kudos, it has become a Vogue office staple. Add one, two or three drops to your moisturiser for a healthy glow, warm bronze or deeper tan.
